Los Teques, Venezuela – June 2024 – From June 21 to 23, the IV Vocational Discernment Meeting took place in Villa Don Bosco in Los Teques, the last of this Educational Pastoral Year 2023-2024. 22 young people who are making their journey in discernment participated. The theme revolved around Salesian Religious Life and, in addition, the participants had the opportunity to share a few hours with the Salesians in the Fidelity Festival, celebrated in the Salesian Postnovitiate. Four of these young people were admitted to the prenovitiate: Alexis Flores (Valencia), Erick Cedeño (Los Teques), Yoalbert Medina (Barquisimeto), José María Gutiérrez (Punto Fijo), and will begin their formative experience in September in Los Teques. Likewise, eleven young people from this group were admitted to begin the experience of Aspirancy in the coming months. In this activity it was possible to evaluate this year’s process together with the young people. The meeting was attended by members of the Inspectorial Commission for Vocational Animation, presided by Fr. Juan Luis Arveláez, and the Inspector of Venezuela Fr. Rafael Montenegro, Fr. Carlos Da Franca, Inspectorial Treasurer and Ms. Sheyla Deliz, from the Inspectorial Office for Social Communication, were present.
