The union ordinance for the prevention of forest fires was issued in recent days. It is declared: “The owners of urban-rural interface areas, the managers and operators of campsites, tourist villages, residential centres, hotels and accommodation facilities in urban or rural areas exposed to contact with possible fire fronts are ordered to maintain the protection strips to be efficient and to provide for the cleaning of the area surrounding the settlement – for a radius of at least twenty meters – by cutting the herbaceous and shrubby vegetation, brambles and necromass, and the elimination of all sources of possible ignition, according to the provisions of the technical fire prevention rules and the regional regulations referred to in the art. 75 c.15 of Regulation n.3/2017 and subsequent amendments. They must be equipped with evacuation plans with the identification of the collection points which must be kept constantly free and accessible and with suitable defense systems fire prevention, in compliance with current regulations on safety and the protection of public safety. They will take care to verify that the emergency procedures adopted are in line with what is reported in the municipal civil protection emergency plan.”
