The initiatives of the project “La Svolta – new paths for the emergence and inclusion of NEETs in the South East Florentine area” continue in support of young people in the area. This time, the appointment is in Reggello with Lara Mori, an internationally renowned Italian gymnast, protagonist of the meeting “Sport between passion and profession”.

The event will be held Thursday 4 July starting from 7pm in Piazza Aldo Moro in Reggelloduring the Beer Festival.

Lara Mori, born in 1998, two-time Italian free body champion and representative of Italy at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, will share with young people her experience as an Olympic gymnast and the challenges faced in reconciling passion and profession. Her career, which includes participation in four editions of the World Championships and two European Championships, is an inspiring example for all the young people present.

The event will offer participants the opportunity to interact directly with Lara Mori, drawing inspiration from her sporting journey that began in a provincial city (Montevarchi), to achieve considerable successes over time, with perseverance and commitment. It will be an opportunity to reflect on the possibilities of autonomy and personal growth for young people in the area.

On the same day, the works created by the participants in the recently concluded free photography course held by Marco Mugnai will be exhibited. Both initiatives are part of the La Svolta project, promoted by the Fiorentina Sud Est zonal educational conference and designed to engage and activate young people in the area, especially those at risk of dropping out of school or deviance.

The evening will end with an aperitif offered to the participants, organized in collaboration with Proloco Reggello and Cascia. To take part in the aperitif, reservations are required by July 2nd. Registration is free.
