Ragusa – Devotees and faithful gathered in procession last night to honor Saint Paul the Apostle. From the parish of via Umberto Giordano, after the holy mass presided over by the vicar general of the diocese of Ragusa, the priest Sebastiano Roberto Asta, the procession of the venerated simulacrum began, preceded by the clergy and accompanied by the Alessandro Scarlatti di Chiaramonte band. Gulfi, proceeded through the streets of the parish, greeted cheerfully by all the residents of the area.

After two prayer stops in via Volta and via Spallanzani, the simulacrum continued along its route until returning to the church, which was characterized by the engaging fireworks display by the company Pirotecnica iblea di Lorenzo Massari. Upon the return of the procession, the simulacrum of the venerated Saint Paul was placed back in its niche, a way of saying goodbye in view of next year’s celebrations. “I want to thank all the faithful present yesterday – says the parish priest, the priest Mauro Nicosia – and those who, in some way, followed and supported us.

Thanks to the parishioners, sponsors and all the people who, with their affection, contributed to the success of the celebrations. Once again our community gathered around the patron saint of our parish with results that I do not hesitate to define as very positive. The goal we have set ourselves is to continue along this direction also for the future”.
