The new Giano dell’Umbria City Council takes shape: Mayor Petruccioli assigns delegations
Tuesday June 25th marked a historic moment for Giano dell’Umbria. The City Council took office, starting the 2024-2029 council period. After having examined the eligibility conditions of the councilors and having taken the oath, the Mayor announced the delegations assigned to the councilors and municipal councillors.
Fernando Gramaccioni was appointed Councilor and Deputy Mayor, with responsibilities for local police, security, agriculture and the environment. Jacopo Barbarito was appointed Councilor with responsibilities for public works, earthquake, Pnrr, school buildings, heritage, institutional communication, culture, tourism, community policies and twinning. Isabella Bartoloni Volpi has been appointed Councilor with responsibilities for education, social, family and childhood policies. Valeria Santi was appointed Councilor with responsibilities for economic development, roads, employment, trade, civil protection and events.
The city councilors also received delegations. Sante Graziani will deal with cemeteries and mountain policies, Anna Clelia Moscatini with relations with associations, urban furniture and decoration, and Danilo Angelelli with sport and youth policies.
During the session, the majority groups of Uniti per Giano (group leader Graziani), Fratelli d’Italia (group leader Barbarito) and minority groups, with Giano Domani (group leader Malossi), were formed.
To represent the institution on the council of the Union of Municipalities “Terre dell’Olio e del Sagrantino”, together with the Mayor, will be Renzo Patacca for the majority and Valfranco Santocchi for the minority.
Finally, the point which provided for the establishment of the President of the City Council was approved by majority. This marks a new chapter for Giano dell’Umbria, with the hope of a prosperous and successful future for the community.
