The Gospel of the day commented by Don Paolo Quattrone

Paolo Quattrone, born in 1974, has been a priest of the Diocese of Aosta since 2004; he is parish priest of four parishes located at the entrance to the Valley: Donnas, Vert, Hône and Bard and is vicar forane of zone 5. Precisely in Bard he is President of the inter-parish Oratory ‘John Paul II’; Don Quattrone is also a religion teacher at the ISILTEP high schools of Verres.

He graduated in Art and anthropology of the sacred at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and by virtue of this specialization he periodically carries out interesting readings in which he ‘narrates’ a work of religious art.

‘Art readings’, as the interventions are called, are comments on the Sunday readings in which Don Quattrone takes a journey into the boundless panorama of the history of art.

The underlying thought that characterizes this experience is that a work of art is such when it manages to make us go beyond the surface, beyond reality. Bringing together the Word of God and art means making two channels coexist that have the purpose of making us go beyond the surface, that lead man to think, to discover the spiritual dimension of his own existence.

The Aosta Valley priest will accompany us with inserts from the Gospel of the day and exhorting and explanatory audio comments on how to put the Word of God into practice in daily life.
