Starting from 24 June and until 13 September, the “Annual Operational Programme” was launched for the AIB campaign in the Sicily region which envisages, for the current year, an important strengthening in terms of additional fire brigade teams available also in the territory of the province of Trapani.
In particular, at the property, formerly the headquarters of the Civil Protection, of the multipurpose center of Cerriolo, a seasonal rural logistics unit will be active on an experimental basis for the entire period indicated above, with a team of 5 units equipped with a tank fire engine and country car in AIB trim.
“I am definitely satisfied with the objective achieved – states the Mayor of Custonaci Fabrizio Fonte – as the presence of an additional team of the Fire Brigade in our city allows an improvement in the operational public service provided to our citizens, but also to those of neighboring municipalities. Heartfelt thanks – concludes the mayor – must be expressed to all the institutions that over the course of these months in various capacities, and in a synergistic way, have made this important result possible, which allows us to have already in place, where never was there a need for a fire brigade team ready to intervene to protect human lives and the environment”.
