From Hell to Paradise, in the fantastic world of Barbie and traveling among the Pacific islands: the Terpsichore School’s end-of-year show is a dance-like coming-of-age story, which also tackles thorny issues such as sexism and patriarchy.
This year there will be three evenings of the wise show at the end of the 2023/2024 academic year of the dance school which has exceeded 45 years of activity, a point of reference in the area.
On the stage of the Teatro del Fuoco in Foggia (Vicolo Cutino 6), Wednesday 26, Thursday 27 and Friday 28 June, always with entry at 8.30 pm, teachers, students, with the participation of the actors of the Teatro della Polvere, in three acts, present ‘The Divine Comedy’, ‘This is Barbie’ and ‘Oceania’.
Artistic direction and choreography are signed by Paola Lo Prete, Loredana Lo Prete and Giada Ordine, teachers of the dance school founded and directed by Anna Colucci.
Classical and contemporary dance will alternate on Dante’s journey in the tormented search for himself, modern with the most loved doll ever and preparatory for Vaiana’s adventure. Since 1977, the Tersicore dance school in via Galanti 6 in Foggia has been disseminating dance culture, within a healthy context that does not forget discipline and seriousness. Over the years, young teachers and dancers have been added to the family tradition team who collaborate and renew, through their experience, the professionalism of the school, making it modern in its programs and absolutely cutting-edge in its choreography.
The school has always organized numerous annual internships with Italian and foreign teachers. In March it hosted Andrea Larossa, choreographer of the theater tour ‘Meglio Stasera!’ by Stefano De Martino, and in November 2023 Anbeta Toromani.
In February, the Tersicore Dance School won first prize in the classical dance group choreography/pas de deux category at the first edition of the Dance Festival promoted by the Fondazione dei Monti Uniti.
