Accident in Rivolta, a motorcyclist from Cassano d’Adda injured

Two accidents in a few days in the center of Rivolta. And a motorist and a motorcyclist resident in Liscate and Cassano d’Adda respectively were also involved. Colleagues from Prima Treviglio also talk about it.

Motorcyclist hit

The historic center of the town was the scene of two accidents last week. The first, on June 13, 2024, involved a motorcyclist.

It was around 10am when a Guzzi motorbike, driven by a 56-year-old from Cassano d’Adda, was approaching the central square of Rivolta d’Adda. But, right at the entrance to the square, the road was blocked by a Ford Focus, driven by a 34-year-old from Liscate coming from via Franziche. The violent impact between the two vehicles was inevitable and the worst happened to the motorcyclist who found himself on the bonnet of the car, breaking the front window and then falling to the ground. Help arrived promptly on site with an ambulance from the White Cross of Rivolta, which stabilized the motorcyclist and transported him to the Melzo hospital where he was admitted under yellow code. His condition did not appear worrying. The investigations into the accident were carried out by the local police in Rivolta while the removal of the two vehicles involved was entrusted to the Scaramuzza roadside assistance service in Rivolta d’Adda.

Failure to precedence

But this wasn’t the only incident last week. Still at the same intersection, between via Franziche and via Porta Rocca, another accident occurred with the same dynamic of failure to give way. Last Saturday at 9.30pm the unfortunate intersection involved two cars: an SUV driven by a man from Vailate, who was traveling in the company of his wife and daughter, left Via Franziche ignoring the stop sign just at the moment in which a “Fiat Panda “, driven by a 64-year-old from Rivolta d’Adda, was passing from Via Porta Rocca towards Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.

The collision was inevitable: while the occupants of the SUV remained unharmed, the driver of the Panda was transported in code green to the Melzo hospital with the Rivolta White Cross ambulance. The local police of Rivolta and the Carabinieri of Crema were on site and carried out all the investigations of the accident. Some citizens have highlighted the lack of horizontal signs in the point of the historic center in question after the resurfacing of the asphalt by the company that carried out the optical fiber laying work. There is vertical signage, but it is probably not sufficiently visible.
