After 111 seasonal goals in the regional championship (regular season and Gold phase), play-off and provincial, Salerno’s baby goalscorer Emmanuel Basile is from today officially a new player for Roma where in the 2024/25 season he will play in the national Under 15 championship. The talented striker born in 2010, originally from Bracigliano and part of Salvatore Fresi’s F6 Academy, enchanted the Capitoline entourage during the training sessions held in Trigoria (the first of which he participated in together with his Nerazzurri teammate Ciro Martello) who after a careful evaluation has decided not to miss a golden nugget destined for continuous escalation. Intoxicating dribbling, unchallenged escapes towards the opponent’s goal and many classy plays which also earned him a call up to the Federal Technical Center with the Campania representative team in Abruzzo with subsequent participation in the national finals in Tirrenia (Pisa) of the tournament known as the Evolution Program where he won the title of best player under the eyes of his father Marzio and mother Antonella. The signature arrived in the offices of the technical center named in memory of Agostino Di Bartolomei in the presence of the ’82 Spain World Cup champion Bruno Conti, coordinator of the Giallorossi youth sector. An award for meritocracy as underlined by Fresi himself, the coach under whose protective wing Basile grew beyond measure: “He achieved all this with his own strength, he simply let the pitch do the talking”. Roma defeated the competition from Turin, Empoli, Verona, Cremonese and other professional teams who had more than once expressed their interest in the record-breaking golden boy.
