New proposal from Cr Lazio for the next Amateur football season 2024/2025. This is the statement from the Lazio Regional Committee. “As part of the project to enhance competitive activity and youth activity in particular, encouraging the use of footballers born from 1 January 2003 onwards, the Lazio Regional Committee intends to relaunch the Third Category Under 21 championship of the Sports Season 2024-2025, which both newly affiliated clubs and clubs that participate in higher category championships with their respective teams can take part in (the so-called “second teams”). Players regularly registered with their respective clubs for the 2024-2025 football season can take part in the championship. Participating teams will be given the opportunity to play championship matches on weekdays (Monday to Friday) even in the evening if the facilities are equipped with regularly approved lighting systems. The winning team of the 2024/2025 regional title, if they are “first teams”, will be admitted to participate in the Second Category championship of the 2025-2026 Sports Season. In the event, however, in which the winning team is the expression of a club that already takes part in the championships of a higher category (so-called “second team”) than the second-placed team (or the finalist in the event that a final match is played) the right to be placed in first place in the special ranking for admissions to the Second Category championship of the 2025/2026 Sports Season will be granted in the event of vacancies. It should also be remembered that the clubs that affiliate with the FIGC in the 2024/2025 Sports Season and participate in the Under 21 Third Category Championship in the 2024/2025 Sports Season will be granted free registration rights for said Championship. Free admission is also granted to clubs that in the 2024/2025 Sports Season will be authorized to make the change from SGS “pure” to LND and register their own team in the Third Category Under 21 Championship..
