Morning ended in tragedy for a young 18 year old who, shortly before 10 am on 20 June 2024, he lost his life after being crushed under an agricultural seeder while carrying out his work near Brembioemployee of the agricultural company Bassanetti Euresio – sole proprietorship.
Tragedy in Brembio
The young 18 year old lost his life a few hours ago, it was 09:42 when the victim of the accident was near the municipality of Brembio to carry out some maintenance work. With him the 20-year-old colleague who witnessed the crude scenario and was shocked.
The two were in via Cavour 34, the young 18 year old was carrying out maintenance on an agricultural seeder attached to a tractor (stop) when he suddenly stopped crushed by the right wing of the machine, dying instantly.
Rescue intervention
Help arrived promptly on site in an attempt to save his life but there was nothing that could be done for the young 18-year-old. The doctors could only establish the time of death. The medical staff then provided aid to the colleague of the victim of the fatal accident, who did not suffer any visible trauma. However, he was transported to Codogno Hospital due to the severe shock he suffered.
Also present were Carabinieri of the Codogno Company Command and the staff ofLodi health protection agency. The investigation is still ongoing, the dynamics of the tragic event will be reconstructed and responsibility for what happened will also be ascertained.
