Friulia, record budget approved with profit of 121.4 million

It met today in Trieste, in the presence of the Councilor for Finance of Friuli-Venezia Giulia Barbara Zilli, the shareholders’ meeting of Friulia which approved the budget for 2023 with record numbers.

An exercise that not only sees the realization of the transfer of Autovie Veneteon which Friulia, in tandem with the FVG Region, has been working continuously for a decade now, but also aunprecedented activities for the benefit of local companies.

Over the 12 months, Friulia has in fact provided a total 51 million euros (+37.8% compared to 2022), completing 17 transactions which testify to the attention to the needs expressed by the SMEs protagonists of the regional entrepreneurial fabric. The overall value of the interventions arrived at 212 million euros (+5.5%), for a total of 88 investee companies (80% SMEs) which achieve an aggregate turnover of approximately 3.3 billion euros employing over 10,400 employees in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. All in all, operating profit recorded a very positive result a 121.4 million euros.

Friulia then continued the path that in recent years has seen it as a protagonist on the innovative finance front, today a solid alternative to traditional finance, especially for SMEs. On this front, i minibond confirm themselves as the most successful instrument, reaching a total value of 8.5 million, up 46.5% compared to 2022.

The regional councilor for Finance Barbara Zilli commented: “Supporting the growth and consolidation of businesses in Friuli Venezia Giulia is the mission that Friulia has always pursued in the interest of the regional partner. This is even more strategic in very volatile and uncertain economic and international contexts, such as the one we are experiencing. The examination of the financial statements demonstrates how Friulia is a strategic partner for the growth of the regional economic sector, capable of accompanying local businesses and startups in the innovative challenges of the system”. Zilli then recalled “the contribution provided by the company to the successful outcome of the transfer of the motorway infrastructure concession to Autostrade Alto Adriatico. I add – continued the councilor – the will expressed in the meeting by the shareholder Region not to exercise the right to convert related shares relating to completed investment operations in the area, in order to put the resources deriving from the concluded operations back into circulation ( 3.6 million euros) making them available for new similar interventions”.
