RIVAROLO CANAVESE – Moments of great fear this morning, Wednesday 19 June 2024, in Rivarolo Canavese in via IV Novembre where, for reasons still under investigation, a furious fire broke out and destroyed the roof of a building. The alarm went off shortly after seven. The flames completely devastated the roof of the building. The damage is extensive. A portion of the roof collapsed. Several fire brigade teams were on site. Road closed to allow firefighters to operate safely.
Firefighters are working to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes. No injuries or poisonings were reported. Fortunately, those who were inside the house when the fire broke out were unharmed. A dense column of smoke visible even from afar rose from the house, accompanied by an acrid and pungent smell. The mayor, Martino Zucco Chinà, and the local police officers also intervened in via IV Novembre. Investigations into the causes of the fire are underway.
