Türkiye-Georgia, a thrilling match for Montella
Georgia’s debut in the final phase of a European Championship was however marred by Mikautadze’s historic goal and by an intense and uncertain match until the final moments of injury time. Captain Calhanoglu in the midfield and three men, Guler, Kokcu and Yildiz, supporting Yilmaz for Montella. R

A game played at a high pace breaks the deadlock in the 25th minute: Radioglu’s cross is cleared by Dvali but onto the feet of Muldur who coordinates and with a stunning demi-volley sends the ball into the top corner for Turkey’s lead.
Georgia in doll, then the equalizer
Two minutes pass and with Georgia as a doll the men in red suits celebrate again, but Yildiz’s 2-0 is canceled out by the VAR which detects the Juventus attacker’s toe offside.
After the fear, Sagnol’s team takes courage and meters of pitch and after half an hour he finds the draw: low cross from the right by Kochorashvili, nice movement by Mikautadze who anticipates the conclusion by taking Gunok off the clock, 1-1.
Almost overtaking
Before the break Georgia also risks taking the lead with an acrobatic conclusion from the usual Mikautadze who it ends a few centimeters from the pole. Muldur again, at the start of the second half, hits weakly and only comes close to scoring for Turkey, who return to the field with the idea of regaining control of the hostilities. Calhanoglu tries on a free kick, finding an atypical but effective response a hand of Mamardashviliand then with a shot from outside that ends in a corner after a deflection by the defense.
