The weekly report from the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), released on Tuesday, reveals that the average price of petrol increased by 0.8%, and by 2.9% for diesel.

According to the ERSE document, the efficient price has seen an upgrade, “taking into account the weekly variation in international prices of straight 95 petrol of +1.8% and straight diesel of +6.4%”.

In this way, “for the week from 17 to 23 June, the Efficient Price before taxes is €0.825 per liter for plain 95 petrol and €0.843 for plain diesel. After taxes, the Efficient Price stands at €1,726 per liter for plain 95 petrol and €1,582 for plain diesel”.

Let’s remember that the efficient price “is an average weekly price estimated by ERSE and derives from the sum of the following components: fuel prices on the international reference markets and the related maritime transport costs, primary logistics, including in this item the strategic and safety reserves of the System National Petroleum, the additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels and the increased retail component of the related taxes”.

Compared to the previous week, the report indicates that “it was observed that the average of the Public Selling Prices announced on the signs and reported to the Balcão Único da Energia was 3.9 cents per liter higher than the Efficient Price of that week, in the case of simple 95 petrol, and of 6.1 cents per liter in the case of simple diesel fuel”.
