Since June 14th, the volunteers of the Civil Protection of Fonte Nuova have been engaged together with the Fire Brigade in the operations to put out a vast fire that started from Via Lago di Scandarello. An operation that continued throughout the night and into the following days, as demonstrated by the photos taken. First, the volunteers were divided into two crews, the pick up took care of extinguishing a piece of land adjacent to the nursery which caught fire, while the barrel crew traveled all afternoon and all night to supply water to the firefighters busy at the nursery.
Present on site in addition to the Fonte Nuova barrel, the Caer barrel and the 38,000 liter barrel made available by the Coreir coordination. Even today, Monday 17 June, the operations continued, with volunteers and associations supporting each other in shifts to allow the firefighters to completely extinguish the fire.
