Pasolini School on the otherness between travels, comparisons and meetings

The sixth edition of the “Pasolini School”, organized by the Pasolini Study Center of Casarsa della Delizia, is scheduled for 11 to 14 September 2024. The long-awaited annual event will be dedicated to the theme of Pasolini and otherness and will include ethnographic meetings, travel, and anthropological comparisons.

The lessons will focus in particular on literary production, writings on popular poetry, the novel, travel stories and film production, especially documentaries.

The teachers called to participate in the school days will be required to develop in their lessons both the poetic, political and existential connections that Pasolini had with the popular classes (the farmers, Friulians, the Roman burghers, the social groups of the third world countries ), and the ways and forms through which this relationship with otherness has been cultivated under the influence of demological, ethnographic and anthropological studies.

And they will also be an opportunity to offer the students of the school the tools to analyze the expressive forms linked to Pasolini’s discovery of the other than oneself, such as dialects, dialects, stylistic devices and narrative forms (regression, indirect speech free, story for notes

The Pasolini School summarizes one of the objectives of Casa Colussi: to actively involve (and encourage growth) in the activity of the Center itself Italian and foreign scholars in the name of Pier Paolo Pasolini and in recent years it has also made possible the birth of a scientific and human who studies a key author of the 20th century to understand contemporary transformations and current contradictions, with the aim of radiating knowledge, in the name of knowledge that travels, that is transmitted.
