The news of his dramatic and sudden death spread quickly and the community rallied around the family, waiting for the funeral to be held, to give him their final farewell. The accident occurred yesterday afternoon, Sunday 16 June.
Pasquale worked for a family business, assembled furniture, and was passionate about motorbikes. There were many messages of condolence, including that of the mayor Mauro Celli: “The loss of Pasquale represents a profound wound for our entire community. His memory will remain alive in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him and appreciating his goodness and dedication. Our administration is close to the family.”

According to what has been reconstructed so far, Pasquale was riding his motorbike, a red Ducati 916, and was traveling along the Valle del Liri regional road when, for unknown reasons and still under investigation, he collided with a Compass jeep. The driver of the car was a fifty-four-year-old, who stopped after the incident to provide first aid to the victim while waiting for the paramedics.

The impact was violent, Pasquale, thrown from the saddle, ended up disastrously on the asphalt. When the call arrived to the Single Emergency Number 112 with the urgent request for intervention for a motorcyclist who had been involved in a road accident, whose health conditions seemed serious, the medical staff arrived on site in an ambulance, who tried to resuscitate him, but there was nothing that could be done to save his life.

The carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit of the Pontecocorvo Company were present for the ritual investigations. A few hours later, another motorcyclist died in the Frusinate area, Luca Pulsinelli, a forestry carabiniere, who lost his life on the Marsicana road, in the municipality of Opi.
