Last night, great success for the penultimate day of the “Marsala Kite Festival” event, now in its fourth edition, in the name of sport, music and food and wine productions from the Marsala area. On stage last night, the special guest was the wonderful Malika Ayane, who led the many spectators present on an exceptional musical journey, retracing the many successful songs, up to the proposal of her latest single “Sottosopra ”. The artistic program of the “Marsala Kite Festival”, which from a simple kitesurfing championship in the Stagnone Lagoon, has now transformed into an international event, bringing the world champions Giammaria Coccoluto, Sofia Monri, Mikaili Sol to the city, is taking place in the square in front of the Monument to the Thousand, where the public enters for free to attend various cabaret shows, concerts, street artists, as well as tastings of street food, craft beer and good Marsala wine. Before the concert, last night, the awards ceremony of the European Talent Kitesurf Trophy took place, with the presence of the Hon Nicola Catania, the mayor of Marsala Massimo Grillo, accompanied by the councilors Ignazio Bilardello and Salvatore Agate, and the organizers Fabio Alba and Luigi Barbera. Also present was the city councilor Lele Pugliese, who wanted to thank not only the organizers of the sporting event, but above all the Sicilian Region and the Municipality, stating: “Today is a great party, organized to thank a sporting event, which is supporting the local tourist economy. Kite crowding our territory with sports tourism. It is a discipline that must be protected and regulated in Marsala. Thanks not only to the mayor Massimo Grillo and in particular to the councilors Bilardello and Agate, but also to the regional councilor Elvira Amato, who believed in this project thanks to the intervention of the Hon Nicola Catania. All important actors who have allowed the world of kiting to organize this wonderful festival and be able to offer it to the City.” This evening, starting from 8.00 pm, the Tik Tok Show is scheduled to close, presented by Giggetto, with Samantha & Peppe, Emanuele Scalta, Dina Carbone and Enzo Amato. Followed by the performance of the live band “Comusemo”, with the usual opening from 6.00 pm of the street food, craft beer and wine village.
