Ukrainian dead in Bologna, compatriot arrested for murder

There is an arrest for the death of Roman Matvieiev, a 40-year-old Ukrainian found lifeless yesterday in Bologna. A 38-year-old compatriot, already known to the police from some precedents, is seriously suspected of murdering the man who died at the Maggiore Hospital after having been operated on due to his injuries. Matvieiev was found yesterday, a few steps from the front door of his apartment in via Ferrarese, with various deep wounds on his head and body.

The investigations

During the search of the house, the Scientific Police detected some latent fingerprints attributable to the arrested person. His guilt would also be confirmed by the acquisition of images from some security cameras present in the area which recorded the arrival of the alleged murderer in the building where the victim lived, armed with a blunt object, and his subsequent escape after a few minutes with some clear traces. blood along the arm. The public prosecutor therefore decided to issue an arrest warrant for the crime of murder against the Ukrainian citizen found in the Pilastro area aboard his vehicle. Taken to the police station after the necessary searches, he was subjected to interrogation and, after arrest, he was taken to the local prison. The motive, according to initial information, can be traced back to passionate reasons.
