Two weeks later, it could have happened again tragedy of the Natisone river, in the province of Udine, where three boys of Romanian origin were overwhelmed by the flood, drowning. Two Bengalis, by 35 and 44 years old, residents of Vicenza, they tried to cross the river, even though the current was strong and the flow of water was such that it made it difficult ford impossible. One of them lowered himself from above, hanging from a rope, until he reached the unfortunate man, grabbed him, tied him up and took him to safety.

On May 31, however, the rescue helicopter arrived a few minutes after that the three boys had disappeared among the waves, overwhelmed by a sudden flood. In the province of Padua one of the two Bengalis, the older one, had no problems crossing from one bank to the other. The second man, however, halfway through it got stuck, both due to the freezing water and the strong current. Cultured as authentic terror, climbed onto a large log, which was caught in the water. The friend has raised the alarmmanaging to make himself understood and indicate the position, despite not speaking Italian well.

The call was picked up by 115 of the firefighters of Padua. A team left from the Cittadella detachment, with a truck and an off-road vehicle towing a dinghy. A team of technicians specialized in speleological, alpine and river interventions left Padua. TO The Drago 149 helicopter flight took off in Venice (the same one that failed to arrive on the Natisone in time) with divers on board. Meanwhile, two ambulances and a patrol of Cittadella carabinieri have been activated. The operation ended for both at the Cittadella hospital, where the youngest was found to have a beginning of hypothermia (not serious), while the eldest was discharged.
