Sanctioned in March (5,100 euros) by the local police after a check, weeks later he showed the counterfeit document: reported
In March, during an ordinary check, he was stopped by the local police of Modena while driving his Ford Focus without having a license and was fined: 5,100 euros. But after a few weeks he presented himself at the Command showing a foreign driving license and asking for the fine to be canceled and replaced with the much lighter one, only 42 euros, foreseen for those who are stopped without having the document with them.
The Nigerian driving license presented by the 30-year-old of Central African origin, legal in the territory and resident for more than ten years in a municipality in the province of Modena, however, when subjected to technical checks, turned out to be false and now he has also been reported for forgery of the document (the reference is to articles 477 and 482 of the Criminal Code) and thus risks imprisonment from 4 to 24 months. The driving license was seized and the fine of over 5 thousand euros obviously remains with him.
