The judge for the preliminary hearing Ileana Ramundo has decided that 13 people will be tried for the fire that in August 2021 destroyed the Torre dei Moro, a 60-meter building in via Giacomo Antonini, in the south of Milan. They are all accused of negligent disaster.

The builder Alberto Moro, his wife Stefania Grunzweig, administrator of Polo srl, client and seller of the apartments, five managers of Zambonini spa, the company that covered the facade, as well as the administrator of the company that marketed it in Italy will be put on trial. the cladding panels made by the Spanish company Alucoil, and finally the legal representative and a manager of the latter. However, the position of the technical manager of the construction site, the manager of the purchasing office of the Zambonini company and of two firefighters who had issued the fire prevention certificate was archived.

60 families, around 150 people, lived in the apartments distributed over the 18 floors. There were no deaths: all the people who were in the apartments, around fifty, managed to save themselves, apparently thanks to some timely alerts in the condominium’s WhatsApp group.

During the investigations, the public prosecutor Marina Petruzzella had highlighted alleged irregularities in the design of the building, in particular in the materials used to cover the facade.
