During his last mandate he asked me to make 23 ties for his collaborators, whom he had invited to a very exclusive dinner and everything happened. Today I am with my Made in Italy at the G7. Ten to President Giorgia Meloni’s pink outfit.” As Maurizio TalaricoFounder Talarico Cravatte, told “Il Confronto”, a program on Rai Due hosted by Monica Setta, about his first 25 years of the Maison, known internationally and chosen as the official partner for the gifts to be delivered to the Heads of State and Government who are taking part in the G7 in Puglia.
Talarico also underlined the elegance of President Meloni and her choice to have focused on Made in Italy in a concrete and effective way for the clothes. “As for Macron’s alleged coldness,” added Talarico, “I found the French President inappropriate and out of place because controversies should have no place within an institutional appointment.”
Talarico then added regarding his adventure in the White House with Bush: “During a very exclusive dinner he told his collaborators to come in a dark suit and white shirt, I would deliver the ties. For those gifts – continued Talarico – I didn’t get paid, for me it was an honor to be there in that prestigious context. So President Bush had the first iPhone delivered to me in Italy, in those days no one knew that type of technological phone yet. I had to have it cracked to use it in Italy and I still keep that cell phone as a dear memory that belongs to the history of my Maison and my rise to an international level.”
