The work continues and operations have been carried out on the wall panels in recent days. A wall for sport climbing (the so-called bouldering) will also be available near the structure. The interventions for the new plant, of which the engineer is designer and works manager. Andrea Paci who also edited the project of the fitness area, are carried out by the companies Ics and Cipef.
Structure
Martial arts can be practiced inside the structure, but the gym was conceived and designed to be multipurpose and multifunctional, so that it can also be used for other sporting activities, such as gentle gymnastics for the elderly. The fitness area, it was said, was built in front. A complex in front of the seafront already redeveloped by the municipal administration and also served by a new large car park, opened last year. An area that is growing more and more: in addition to the fitness area, the new gym under construction, and the multipurpose field already completed, the intervention plan has also seen the renovation of the local Social Center in recent months: there external and internal maintenance work was carried out and photovoltaic panels for hot water and heating were installed on the roof.
Mayor Paolo Calcinaro comments: «Work is continuing on the gym currently under construction, followed by the climbing wall. Interventions that add to what has already been done and implemented such as the covered and uncovered multi-purpose pitch, the fitness area, without forgetting what is already being done on the skatepark. All this attests to important works in the neighborhood, so as to be able to provide the area with ever greater services and opportunities for socialization through sports and leisure activities.”
Councilor Ingrid Luciani reiterates that it is “a new and important aggregation structure that is taking shape, both for residents and for a much larger catchment area”. «The creation of sports facilities, like this one, attests to the value and importance of giving the city spaces and places for sport, socialization and leisure, both with structures that have already been built in that area and others like this one that they are a work in progress”, the reflection made by the Sports councilor Alberto Scarfini.
