It would be precisely the incorrect manoeuvre, attributed to the left-hand driving rule in the United Kingdom, that caused the head-on collision with one Mercedes black car proceeding in the opposite direction. The driver of the latter was also injured and received medical treatment at the scene.

The accident as soon as we left the airport

Some details about the accident were reported by Daily Record through a local source. “At the airport, after a few hundred meters of driving, they collided head-on with a Mercedes” the newspaper quotes.

“All five fans were injured, some seriously, and had to receive emergency medical treatment at the scene of the accident before being transported to various hospitals. Numerous rescue teams were on duty until 2am last night. The two vehicles were completely damaged and had to be rescued,” the newspaper read.

The version was later confirmed by the local fire brigade. “Shortly after midnight, a serious road accident occurred on the airport ring road in which two vehicles collided head-on” reads the official note.

“A total of six injured people, two of them seriously, were treated by emergency services. We wish those affected a speedy and complete recovery.”
