Rome, 13 June – 2024 – But no one like them before. The 2024 Italian Athletics team commands the continent and wins the European Championships in Rome. The dream of triumphing in the dream of winning the title at home, at the Olympic Stadium. A thousand emotions, cheers, smiles, medals, challenges. The Azzurri didn’t hold back, they believed they could do it and they went all the way. And they won.

There are 24 medals in the General Ranking, with 11 golds won, along with 9 silvers and 4 bronzes.

In 26 editions from 1934 to today, it came first place in the medal table. Until now they had achieved fourth place in 1978 in Prague, as in Split in 1990. The record of Split was therefore doubled, where the laurels were 12.

Italy is at the top with 232 points. The record of finalists was also broken: 45.
