The accusation
At the moment Furgiuele is under investigation by the Naples prosecutor’s office with thecharges of manslaughter and failure to render aid. The two videos that immortalize Cristina’s death

Furgiuele is investigated by the Naples prosecutor’s office for manslaughter and failure to provide assistance. But he claims he didn’t feel the impact.
The lawyer’s version
“I have had an unlimited license for motor and sailing boats since 1998 and I have never caused accidents”, says the criminal lawyer who adds: “Sunday afternoon, while returning from Ischia, near Villa Rosebery, at 5.35pm, un my guest noticed a person waving his arms in the distance on the stern and asked for help. At 5.40pm – he explains – I rescued the survivor with the kayak, over 300 meters from the coast. At that moment I learned from him that he was with a girl and they had been hit by a high-speed boat and at 5.44pm I raised the alarm. The harbor office told me not to move and after ten minutes they arrived.” “The survivor – the professional points out – did not recognize my boat as the one that had hit them and mine it’s not a fast boat. Seven of us on board had heard nothing. I have been available to the investigators from the first moment – concludes Furgiuele – and I will continue to be so that light is shed on the tragedy of Cristina Frazzica”.
