Arezzo, 12 June 2024 – The countdown has begun for the first 2024 edition of the Giostra del Saracino, this morning the summit will take place with the prefect Maddalena De Luca to decide where the delivery of the Golden Lance will take place on Saturday 22 June. An issue still to be resolved after the terrace was no longer allowed to be delivered to the winning neighbourhood. At stake are both the infamous column, an arrangement found last year, and the return under the grandstand. Meanwhile, the four neighborhoods will reopen today, including dinners under the stars, barbecues and themed evenings. The neighborhood planner’s week will liven up the evenings in the four corners of the city between well-established parties and dinners with typical menus, alongside programming for the older ones, space for the children’s carousel with entertainment and games every evening. Tonight Santo Spirito reopens the Bastioni grills, tomorrow there will be space for Giostra’s anecdotes, Friday 14th the Deciblè dinner show and Saturday 15th after the career draw the Mamma Mia party. The week ends on Sunday with Mexican Night and Game Night. Monday 17th briscola and tennis tournament for children, Tuesday 18th the treasure hunt, aperitif and simulated joust on the 19th, screening of provaccia and half hour party on the 20th, finally Friday 21st the propitiatory ceremony at the Bastioni. The pre Giostra di Porta del Foro starts today with the dinner show, tomorrow evening dedicated to the stories of Giostra. Among the peak evenings is that of Friday 14th with dinner in reverse, a thousand people ready to start from dessert and work up to the starter. Saturday 15th Crimson Wave, 16th Chimerotti Sunday. On Monday 17th everyone in the square, on the 18th the Imperial Forum with DJ sets, while on Wednesday 19th a great classic returns, the Hawaiian party, on the 20th country vibes and on the 21st the propitiatory church set in via San Lorentino. Porta Crucifera starts again today with the opening of the kitchen, Thursday Giostra in the square and the 14 Brazilian party. On Saturday the 15th, after the career draw, a classic red and green Ceres party returns, on the 16th a day with the Toscanabile project, on the 17th inflatables for children. Tuesday 18th appointment with the 70th maccherone dinner, one of the peak evenings in Crucifera, on the 19th everyone in the square for the simulated Giostra, while on the 20th the Leccio party returns after the provaccia. Final with the propitiation at the clearing on June 21st. The pre Giostra di San Giusto also starts again today with the aperitif in the square. Tomorrow we will run the Run ten the Dear Fardelli memorial, on the 14th Euphoria evening, on the 15th smile night, on the 16th we remember the anniversary of the youth committee. Monday 17th Giostra challenges, 18th music with the Tiziano Ferro tribute band Xverso, 19th Cranium DJ and 20th Divus new school. A long week of events that will end on the 21st with the propitiatory ceremony in San Giusto.
