The police found out the bodies of Velásquez and his fiancée, Sofia Valdez, shot dead in their home in Envigado, near Medellín. The news was confirmed by his record label. In a statement, the label specified that “although the facts are still under investigation, the authorities have ruled out suicide among the hypotheses.
