During a visit to the emergency room of the San Maurizio hospital, a 24-year-old Pakistani citizen, identified as SSAR, made death threats to two doctors who were treating him. The man, known to the police and with multiple criminal convictions, wanted to remove the cast from his arm despite the doctors’ advice to the contrary. The police reported SSAR for aggravated threats to a public official. Despite having a regular residence permit, the man is homeless. The police commissioner of Bolzano, Paolo Sartori, has ordered the revocation of the residence permit and the issuing of a mandatory expulsion order with a ban on returning to Bolzano for four years.
An even more serious episode occurred last night, again in the city emergency room. A man, later identified as MC, a 25-year-old Tunisian with numerous criminal records, he started shouting threats and insults against the healthcare staff. When he turned to physical aggression, police intervention was necessary.

The officers stopped MC, who continued to behave violently even inside the police car, causing damage to the vehicle. Arriving at the police station, he attacked two officers, who were forced to seek medical treatment with a four-day prognosis for multiple injuries. MC was arrested for violence and resistance to a public official and aggravated damage.
Commissioner Sartori issued an expulsion order for MC, which will become effective upon his release. “The repeated attacks in the emergency room represent very serious criminal episodes, characterized by particular violence towards doctors, policemen and healthcare personnel,” declared Sartori. “Such incidents cannot be tolerated: those who work at the service of the community cannot be subjected with impunity to violent acts by those who, welcomed into our country, have demonstrated that they do not want to accept the rules of civil coexistence”.
