Today’s shot is by Michele Cassano, from Bari. «”Andare Mare mare”, is a way of saying about a coastal walk that finds no other definition. “Sea, sea”, meanwhile, designates a slow and attentive, even if apparently distracted, pace and, then, clearly suggests the reconnaissance ready to be surprised by the event that the sea can represent, even suddenly. Because the sea knows how to be surprising, changeable, fascinating and is capable of brutalizing you with sudden fury, but also of softening and cajoling you by staging sudden panoramas of light and colours.”
«These words written ago in the Sunday column of the Gazzetta by the great director, actor, television and radio host Michele Mirabella, led me in this period to walk “sea, sea”, finding and photographing those who were reading, those kissing, those running, some fed the seagulls, some fished, some listened to music, some took the dog for a walk, some painted, some simply looked at the sea. Our seafront, when we see it, settles our soul.
