It now seemed almost certain that JJ Redick he would become the new coach of the LA Lakers for the next season. In recent days, however, rumors indicate Dan Hurleycurrent UConn coach, as the favorite for the role, have stepped up.
Coaching the Lakers is absolutely not easy and Danny Greenguest at “The Draymond Green Show”spoke about it very clearly:
I think JJ deserves a coaching opportunity, but I’m not sure if the job with the Lakers is right for him. Coaching the Lakers is a tough job. Until you find yourself there, you can’t understand how special that pressure is: it’s a different kind of pressure

The former Lakers player continued the speech, using the experience of Russell Westbrook as an example to illustrate his point:
I’ve seen even the toughest players, like Russell Westbrook, go through it. There’s no one in this league that I know who is as mentally tough as him. He brings with him incredible confidence and doesn’t care who he says something to. Yet, in Los Angeles he seemed like a different person

In short, the current 76ers winger doesn’t seem particularly convinced start your coaching career, in an environment like Los Angeles is the wisest choice. He who experienced that same environment from within in a very particular way, having won in the yellow and purple NBA title in the bubble.
Those lights, that organization and those fans are a world apart, they can really change you. They could destroy some people or transform them completely, affecting their careers. For JJ, who would be in his first experience as a coach, I’m not sure that the Lakers are the ideal context in which to start
