The Smartphone License project.

Schools, students, parents and teachers of all comprehensive institutions in the region: in 400 celebrated the closing of the Smartphone Patent project at the Zanon auditorium in Udinewith the awards of the creative competition organized by the MEC Association, a precious opportunity to stimulate boys and girls to make a more active and positive use of technology.

The project involved in total over 15,000 students And 6,000 parents in the three years of activity, reaching 150 lower secondary schools throughout the regional territory. This surprising result is the result of the trust and support offered by Fvg Region and from Friul Foundationi, the main financiers of the project, and by the great work carried out by the teachers who, accompanied by the trainers of the MEC Association, got involved by continuing the paths independently to give continuity to the project over the years. A special mention must then be made to the Sponsors of the competition, Ditedi, SME, Eurosystem, FEC and Belivenfundamental for financing the numerous prizes awarded to the most meritorious schools, testimony to the interest and support of local companies in the digital education of the new generations.

The event was opportunity to present the results achieved and to reflect on the future of digital education in the region: about that, Marco Tommasi ISIS school director Magrini Marchetti of Gemona del Friuli, head of the Friuli Venezia Giulia training hub network announced that the project will continue with the support of the Region expanding to primary schools in experimentation, to promote the safe and creative use of digital technology even among younger people by involving students, teachers and parents with a path structured in a similar way to the Smartphone License. Also present Luca Gervasutti, head teacher of the Stellini Classical High Schoolwhich coordinates the network of schools participating in the “Building the future” project on the topic of artificial intelligence, which underlined the need to include this technology among the topics to be covered in all school levels.

The schools responded enthusiastically to the proposal of the first edition of the “Smartphone License” Creative Competition by sending further 60 entries that were examined by the jury of the MEC Association.

The jury expressed numerically from 1 to 5 its preference for the different entries based on 4 criteria: technical quality, creativity, quality of content and teamwork; LThe final ranking was drawn up considering the individual average of the votes received by each paper, thus arriving at the following ranking:
