“Against pediatric sarcomas”: this is the title of the meeting to be held tomorrow, Saturday 8 June, in the meeting room of the Isola dei Girasoli (Carraia, 1 – from 8.30), the residence managed by Agbalt- Association of parents of children affected by leukemia and tumors, organized by the orthopedist Lorenzo Andreani (photo below) with the Aoup team specialized in oncological orthopedics and other professionals, together with the specialists of the Pediatric Oncohematology Operational Unit.
The event – which enjoys the patronage of Aoup – represents a unique opportunity for discussion for healthcare professionals, patients, families and volunteers and is a response to the critical need to join forces to face this complex medical challenge.
During the meeting, updates will be provided on the latest scientific discoveries and promising therapies for pediatric bone sarcomas and will therefore be a precious opportunity for families to access the most up-to-date and relevant information, being able to share their experiences and find mutual support. In fact, isolation can be one of the biggest obstacles for those facing a serious illness. The meeting aims precisely to provide an environment of support and understanding.
The event will also include information sessions on how to assert your rights, how to raise awareness about this disease and plan strategic actions for the future.
