Perhaps it was an illness that caused the death of Armando Mainardiprofessor 47 year old from Salernofound lifeless this morning – June 7th – in the bathroom of the Giovambattista Vico middle school in Milan, after which he had been teaching for some time. The alarm was raised by some colleagues who found the body. The 118 health workers immediately arrived on site and were only able to find the man dead.
The first medical findings suggest an illness, but in any case the police have carried out the investigations and it will most likely be carried out an autopsy on the teacher’s body. He leaves behind a wife, Emilia, and a young daughter. In Salerno, Mainardi’s disappearance aroused great surprise and caused deep pain. Armandino, as he was known in the city, he is the son of Antonio Mainardi, a trader who for 50 years was the owner of a furniture shop known throughout Southern Italy with the biggest Italian and international brands. Furthermore, Armando was also a Salernitana fan, well known in sporting circles.
Also Minister of Education, Giuseppe Valditara, expressed his condolences for Mainardi’s death: «With immense regret I learn of the passing of a teacher in a school in Milan in Quarto Oggiaro. I extend my deepest condolences and express my closeness to the family and the entire school community».
