New order for ErreDue, moving forward with green hydrogen

ErreDue continues on the path of green hydrogen: the Livorno company, active in the design and production of solutions for the on-site production, mixing and purification of technical gases, has signed an agreement with an Italian operator active in the field of distribution of natural gas for the supply of a Power to Gas, Plug&Play plant, specifically for the production of green hydrogen. The value of the supply is approximately 900 thousand euros.

The ErreDue Power to Gas plant, which will be delivered within the first quarter of 2025, consists of a hydrogen production unit with a multi-cell system of a total of 0.5 MW of alkaline type, installed inside a container. The project includes a first section in which green electricity is produced through a photovoltaic system, a hydrogen production unit, the electrolyser, and a storage and distribution system. The green hydrogen produced will be used in the field of sustainable mobility and in network distribution for industrial and residential use.

The grounding of this project, according to the company, will allow the production of numerous tons/year of hydrogen that can be implemented over the years to come. “Decarbonisation, as foreseen in the UN Agenda 2030 – stated Enrico D’Angelo, president of ErreDue – plays an increasingly strategic role for companies, in particular those in the hard-to-abate sector, and we at ErreDue, thanks to the know-how acquired over the years, we are able to support them in the design of the systems essential for the grounding of sustainability projects”.

ErreDue closed 2023 with 16.5 million in revenues (+34%), an Ebitda of 5.9 million (+49%), with an Ebitda margin that rose from 32% to 35.7% in one year, and a operating profit of 3.4 million (+106%). The growth of the green hydrogen market “still suffers from delays on the part of the institutions”, said D’Angelo and the CEO Francesca Barontini, on the occasion of the presentation of the budget. “We are in fact still awaiting the concrete developments of what is foreseen by the Pnrr”, they said, announcing that “the delivery of the first pilot plants will take place starting from 2025. However, we remain confident that the positive trend of the sector and of our business will continue also for 2024 and in the medium term, confirming our development plans for the construction of hydrogen production plants”.
