The car park in Piazza Marvelli (Tripoli) will be able to continue the work started without any judicial interruption. In fact, the Council of State confirmed the first instance ruling of the Emilia Romagna Regional Administrative Court which had excluded the Acreide Consorzio Stabile Soc. Cons group of companies. a rl from the awarding of the tender due to irregularities in the tender documentation submitted. The appeal was presented by the Italian Construction, Maintenance and Services Consortium – Consital Soc. Coop which came second in the competition against the Municipality of Rimini.

As a result of the TAR ruling, which did not oblige the Municipality to issue a new tender, it was decided to proceed with the assignment to the second place winner.

However, the acceptance of the appeal led, as a consequence, to an increase in the cost of 414,000 euros for the construction site, as well as 7,000 euros in legal costs and a delay, albeit minimal, in the timetable.

Now the ruling of the Council of State puts an end to it at least as far as the administrative courts are concerned.

The 320-space car park costs 12.2 million euros and is financed with European funds. To these must be added another 8 million to complete the street furniture. The duration of the works is expected to be 18 months and should be completed by 31 December 2025, so as not to lose European funding.
