05/06/2024 – The restart and the change begin again from the technical staff of the first team at Camerino Calcio, who in these hours made official the deputy of Gianluca Giacometti (new coach of the first team), in the figure of Francesco Ruggeri.
This is a figure indicated by Giacometti himself, who has already collaborated with Ruggeri. Therefore, a couple of technicians who are already close-knit and tested come together to lead the major team.
“After several years in the youth sectors between Fabriano and Matelica both among amateurs and professionals – we read in the note from Asd Camerino Calcio – Ruggeri arrives in the world of the first teams with Fortitudo Fabriano in the First Category, to then move up to Excellence with Fabriano where he was Giacometti’s deputy, and then continued at Matelica: in the 23/24 season he won the Promotion championship with Fabriano”.
Presented at the headquarters this morning, Francesco Ruggeri explained his decision to accept Camerino’s proposal in this way. “There were two main reasons for my choice: the first is the relationship I have with Giacometti – he says – which is a special relationship of friendship and esteem and when he called me I was very happy. The second was the positive impact with the president, basically a chat was enough for me where he convinced me. He explained to me both the importance of the technical and social project. Camerino is a city that has history, tradition and important structures on a sporting level, the choice was quite simple. I am very happy and motivated to start this new adventure.”
The company is also engaged in negotiations to complete the squad for the 2024-’25 season and other news is expected in the coming days, starting with the members of the technical staff.
