Catholic University of Brescia, meeting on corporate communication companies


BRESCIA (ITALPRESS) – “Opinion Leader in the company: corporate communication and awareness of social policies” is the title of the meeting which was held on 22 May at the headquarters of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Via Trieste 17/ba Brescia , organized by the Opinion Leader 4 Future Observatory, the project on conscious information launched last year by the media relations of Credem and the Alta Scuola in media, communication and entertainment of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. The initiative aimed to analyze the new connections between the role of companies in society, corporate communication and social commitment. Specifically, during the event we talked about how corporate communication is evolving and how fundamental it has become to know how to communicate in an authentic and transparent way to establish lasting and significant relationships with territories and communities. In fact, today companies no longer limit themselves to selling goods and services, but also try to communicate the values ​​and social impact they want to generate.

They are therefore configured as opinion leaders capable of interpreting, enhancing and promoting important social causes, acting as mediators with consumers. The initiative closes the cycle of 4 training events of “The new faces of Opinion Leading”, organized by the Observatory, which started last April 12th in Milan and ended on May 22nd in Brescia. The meetings made it possible to outline, through the investigations and reflections of researchers and professors of the Catholic University, the traits of contemporary opinion leaders with the aim of increasing people’s level of knowledge and identifying the best ways of searching for information to consciously address the relevant issues of life. In more detail, in previous events it was explored how opinion leaders, thanks to their media power and by sharing personal stories, manage to involve the public and promote concrete actions in different areas such as social inclusion, acting as bridges between different communities, raising awareness of care, informing on the benefits of good practices to be adopted, environmental issues, offering new methods of communication to raise awareness among young people regarding sustainable behavior and environmental protection. “Since its establishment, the Observatory has always tried to bring research activities into dialogue with training and awareness-raising opportunities. This new cycle of meetings represented an important opportunity to reflect on the social and community role of opinion leaders, in a perspective of activating processes of participation and collaboration.
