Green light in the Culture commission for the 2024 annual cinema and audiovisual plan
Opinion also favorable to two other resolution schemes regarding Sport. The three measures return to the Council for final approval.
04/06/2024 – The Culture, Entertainment, Sport and Tourism commission today expressed a favorable opinion (unanimously among those present) on three draft resolutions of the Council. The first concerns the approval of the 2024 annual plan of interventions in the field of cinema and audiovisual; the second concerns the approval of the memorandum of understanding between the Lazio Region and the National Educational Sports Center (Csen) and the participation of the Lazio Region in the “Oktagon Roma” sporting event; the third, finally, concerns the approval of the memorandum of understanding between the Lazio Region and the Italian Golf Federation and the participation of the Lazio Region in the “Ladies Italian Open 2024” sporting event. The three acts will return to the Council for final approval.
The first provision is the draft resolution no. 44 of 3 May 2024, with which the 2024 annual plan of interventions in the field of cinema and audiovisual proposed by the Regional Council is approved, which provides for an allocation of 10.643 million euros under program 02 “Cultural activities and various interventions in cultural sector”. The annual plan provides for the following distribution of resources:
– 1.18 million euros for the promotion of cinematographic and audiovisual culture;
– 720 thousand euros for the participation of the Lazio Region in the Film Commission Foundation of Rome and Lazio;
– 793 thousand euros for the participation of the Lazio Region in the Cinema per Roma Foundation;
– 1 million euros to support cinematographic and audiovisual distribution, the promotion of cinema exhibition and the organization of a regional media library;
– 250 thousand euros for the public notice for support for screenplay writing;
– 150 thousand euros for specialist and professional services for the integrated management of initiatives and public notices relating to cinema and audiovisual;
– 550 thousand euros for promotion and communication actions;
– 6 million euros for public notices for cinematographic and audiovisual production.
The second measure to have received the positive opinion of the fifth commission is the draft resolution no. 48 of 24 May 2024, with which the draft memorandum of understanding between the Lazio Region and the National Educational Sports Center (Csen) is approved, aimed at spreading the practice of ring sports and the values they represent as well as raising awareness about themes of anti-bullying and self-defense. With the same act, the green light is given for the participation of the Lazio Region in the ‘Oktagon Roma’ sporting event, with an expected maximum contribution of 150 thousand euros.
The third provision is the draft resolution no. 50 of 24 May 2024, with which the draft memorandum of understanding between the Lazio Region and the Italian Golf Federation is approved, aimed at guaranteeing, within their respective competences, sports and tourism promotion activities linked to the carrying out of the Ladies Italian Open 2024 event. With the same act, the green light is given for the participation of the Lazio Region in the event with a contribution of 250 thousand euros. By the Press Office of the Lazio Regional Council
