Yesterday evening 3 June 2024 at 7.00 pm, in the compass room of the Nettuno hotel in Brindisi, in conjunction with the 11th edition of the “Winemaker & Sommelier” event, the last lesson of the first class sommelier course was held level masterfully conducted by prof. Dr. Giuseppe Baldassarre, member of the national board of directors and one of the leading experts in the world of wine esteemed nationally and internationally. At the end of the lesson, there was an award ceremony for all the candidates who passed the first level course with flying colours, including entrepreneurs in the Brindisi food and wine sector, lawyers, doctors, accounting engineers, company managers, oenologists, university students, employees public, teachers etc. etc.

At the end of the “Winemaker & Sommelier” event, the Brindisi delegate Dr. Rocco Caliandro publicly thanked all the companies participating in the event, the course teachers, the staff and Cav. Antonio Giaimis, former Lieutenant CS of the Carabinieri who, with his stubbornness and determination, was one of the active promoters so that the AIS courses could resume in the city of Brindisi.
The event was a moment of meeting and discussion between some of the leading producers in Puglia who daily combine passion, commitment and professionalism so that their territory is given prestige and represents a real meeting of all the AIS Sommeliers, the students of the Level I recently completed.
This event in which many participated is the emblem of a city that wants to regain an important role in food and wine development and which expresses the desire of a community that wants redemption.
