Genoa. It’s yellow about the death of Aurimas Cybas27-year-old Lithuanian basketball player found dead on Saturday morning at the feet of a Corso Podestà wall. The lifeless body was found in the street below, inside a courtyard.

The investigations are entrusted to the Carabinieri, and the prosecutor’s office has opened a case. The investigations carried out in the first hours after the discovery of the body made it possible to reconstruct at least part of Cybas’ evening. The athlete, resident in Vilniuswas in Genoa guest of a friend who plays on a basketball team in Sestri Ponente and spent Friday evening in one nightclub of Piazza Dante, from which he was then removed with the intervention of bouncers after an argument with some customers.

It is not clear what happened and the investigators they do not exclude any hypotheses: could be fallen from the wall, perhaps impaired by alcohol, but it could also have been pushed by someone or by throwing himself. Some answers will come from‘autopsyalready arranged, which will ascertain the exact cause of death and whether the 27-year-old had taken any narcotic substances.

The military is also viewing the camera footage surveillance to try to reconstruct, through images, how Cybas arrived in the Carignano area from Piazza Dante.
