Lazio: 26 municipalities compete for the “Small friendly municipality” award

26 municipalities in Lazio are competing this year for the “Piccolo comune amici” award, a project created by Codacons in collaboration with Coldiretti and supported by Aci, Anci, Enac, Intesa Sanpaolo, Fit, Poste Italiane, Touring Club Italiano, Autostrade per l’ Italy, Symbola, Uncem, with the aim of enhancing small Italian municipalities, raising awareness of local excellence and encouraging tourism.

An initiative, now in its fourth edition, which rewards Italian excellence in the categories of agri-food, craftsmanship, social innovation and culture, art and history. In addition to the traditional categories there will be Special Awards: “Small friendly airport”, dedicated to the redevelopment of small airport centres, “Air, water, earth”, on the naturalistic beauty of the territory, “Municipalities against high energy prices”, dedicated to Municipalities that have distinguished themselves for their policies to combat high bill prices through the establishment of energy communities or other instruments, “Municipalities for disability”, dedicated to Municipalities which have characterized themselves by particularly effective inclusion policies, “Municipalities for apiculture”, which rewards municipalities that have implemented initiatives to enhance and protect beekeeping.

Citizens can vote for their favorite municipality no later than June 15th, according to one of the methods indicated on the page https://codacons.it/pca-2024-vota/

The municipalities participating in the competition can count on an entirely dedicated website and an interactive map of the municipal entities competing, with the events and excellences of the various selected categories. The project is widely promoted on major media channels, such as Facebook and Instagram, giving visibility to the beauties of the winning municipal entities in the various categories, and will see free promotional campaigns, both in the service areas of the motorway network and on social media and in the press.
