(ANSA) – SAN FERDINANDO DI PUGLIA, MAY 20 – The eight-month-old girl who was injured yesterday with her mother in the road accident in San Ferdinando di Puglia, in the north of Bari, has died. The little girl was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Casa Relief of Suffering hospital in San Giovanni Rotondo (Foggia) where she had been transported by air ambulance with a deep head injury.
Her conditions were immediately defined as critical by the doctors who treated her: she died shortly ago. Instead, she is in Andria’s hospital, the little girl’s mother. According to what has emerged so far, the car in which they were travelling, was traveling along state road 16 bis when, for reasons to be determined, it went off the road and ended up against the barriers. On impact, mother and daughter would have been thrown out of the passenger compartment. 118 rescue services were started immediately. The medical staff also rescued the girl’s father, who was driving the car, and her other daughter who did not suffer serious injuries. The police are investigating the incident. (HANDLE). .
