Pedaso (Fermo), 19 May 2024 – “Our windshield was smashed when Silvano left again. He was furious. We didn’t understand anything anymore and only later did we realize that his car was damaged and we imagined we had caught someone“.

Asuni’s friend, who was in the car with him at the time of the crime, told the police about those excited moments. alleged murder and attempted murder. A quick testimony, yet to be verified, also due to the state of shock in which he found himself the 55-year-old friend of the driver. “I had just gotten back into the car – explains the man – when suddenly several young people appeared and attacked us. One of them, a 20-year-old Moroccan, climbed onto the bonnet and then started jumping on the windshield until he broke it. I tried to open the door, but it was blocked with the safety lock as Silvano is the father of a small child”.
Then arrived Asuni, the owner of the Volkswagen Golf in which the three friends were traveling who, after having argued in a bar in the center of Pedaso with the group of young people, had reached Via Garibaldi. “Silvano started driving the car – continues Asuni’s friend – and we crossed via Garibaldi: he was very angry and at the same time disoriented. In the excitement we hit a parked vehicle, so we drove along the same street in the opposite direction . We never saw Giampiero again and we thought he had walked home. Shortly afterwards we stopped and noticed that the car had a rough part of the front and broken headlights. Only at that moment did we realize that something could have happened.” The evening actually started in the best possible way and the owner of the Il Faro restaurant confirms this: “There were 21 of them at the table and they spent the dinner happily and peacefully . They also asked me to take a souvenir photo of them.”
Until around midnight, the organizer of the reunion was also in the company of the others and of the three who were then protagonists of the tragedy: “Initially there must have been eight or nine of us, then, little by little, word spread and in the end we became 21. We were happy to meet again after a long time and it was a nice evening. We remembered the old times and also someone who is no longer here. at the end of dinner, some of us went to the bar for one last drink. I, satisfied with the reunion and with the fact that everything had gone well, decided to return home, unaware of the terrible tragedy that would take place two hours later. Only in the morning did I receive some phone calls from friends who told me what had happened next. Everyone gave me a different version, I don’t really know how things went. In any case, regardless of what actually happened, it is something shocking, because a friend of ours was with us celebrating shortly before and now he has died.”
