From Genoa new direct flight to Copenhagen

Starting from Saturday 18 May Genoa and Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, will be connected with a direct flight. This was announced by Cristoforo Colombo airport in Genoa. The flight will be operated by the Scandinavian company SAS with 90-seater CRJ900 aircraft and will be active from 18 May to 19 October on every Saturday, furthermore from 2 July to 8 August the affected route will be upgraded with two frequencies on Tuesdays and Thursdays .

The new Sas flight will thus allow Liguria to be connected not only to Denmark but also to other cities in the Scandinavian countries with a single stopover in the Danish capital such as Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Aalborg, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim and Hamburg.

“Northern Europe is the market to which we look with greatest interest for the development of traffic – underlined Francesco D’Amico, general director of Genoa Airport – and the return of SAS, which we thank for having decided to return to investing in our region with a direct flight from Copenhagen, gives us hope. Our goal is to strengthen direct connections for the benefit of the local economy, and to do so we count on the collaboration of all stakeholders interested in increasing tourist flows.

The other strategic objective is the recovery of connections with the main intercontinental hubs, of particular interest for Ligurian companies that need to move to Europe and the rest of the world”.
