The training meeting “With Prevention you can get ahead of the game”, sponsored by the Municipality of Cisterna and organized by the ANDOS committee of Latina ODV, will be held on Thursday 16 May at 5pm.
The association, chaired by Dr. Paola Bellardini, has actively supported the coordination of the oncological screening programs of the Latina ASL for years.
The Mayor of Cisterna Valentino Mantini and the health delegate Francesco Maggiacomo will take part in the meeting.
«Prevention is the main road on which our healthcare is moving. It is enough to remember that in the field of oncological problems of the female sphere, such as uterine and breast cancer, the therapies in progress, the hope of recovery and improvement in the quality of life have improved. Initiatives like this are commendable: the more people we reach, the more it becomes possible to avoid impactful diseases”, declared the Mayor of Cisterna Valentino Mantini and the health delegate Francesco Maggiacomo.
«The objective that the training meeting wants to achieve is to improve the knowledge with which citizens and associations can effectively spread the importance of prevention, promote it and become an active part of the relational network in the area. Adherence to prevention programs is a fundamental step and an opportunity that can save or improve our lives. Furthermore, it also serves to indicate paths to help overcome the critical issues and fears perceived by citizens”, stated the president of the ANDOS Latina ODV committee, Dr. Paola Bellardini.
After the institutional greetings from the Mayor of Cisterna Valentino Mantini and the health delegate Francesco Maggiacomo, the presentation will be by Dr. Antonio Sabatucci. This will be followed by a speech on primary prevention and correct lifestyles by Dr. Silvia Iacovacci, Director of the FF. UOC Active Prevention ASL Latina; on secondary prevention, oncological screening by Dr. Gloria Pasqua Fanelli, Director of UOSD Screening ASL Latina. Finally, the round table, moderated by Dr. Paola Bellardini, with local associations including the Women’s Council as the body of the Municipality of Cisterna.
