Mutti Ragù wins the European Innovation for Sustainability Award –

EUROPEAN INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABILITY SUMMIT 2024 ROME DAY 11-05-2024

Ragù alla Mutti received the “European Innovation for Sustainability” award, assigned to the most sustainable product or service by the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability.

Launched in 2023 and the result of two years of research, Mutti Ragù is produced with 100% Italian tomatoes and 100% vegetable ingredients and perfectly represents Mutti’s philosophy, which has chosen not to use either meat or fish for its products . Furthermore, thanks to the innovative yellow pea-based product, it is completely free of soy, an allergenic ingredient, a characteristic that makes it a product suitable for everyone.

The launch of Ragù alla Mutti is part of a broader path of continuous research and innovation, which has seen the company concretely committed for years, both from the point of view of the product and of the processing methods, with the aim of satisfying the needs of customers and paying particular attention to sustainability.

Mutti Ragù is the perfect example of this commitment. On the one hand it embodies a sustainable product that goes in the direction of less meat consumption by the population, and at the same time it is able to respond to a new trend in the consumption scenario in which, more and more, ready-to-use solutions are sought which however allow you not to give up a qualitatively excellent product.

“This award is confirmation that today innovation in the field of sustainability is a differentiating and highly appreciated element – declares Laura Marchelli, Sustainability Manager at Mutti. Our Ragù alla Mutti was able to win over the over three thousand participants at the event because it best represents the main themes of the Summit, but above all for its taste: exquisitely good.”
The award was presented as part of the Summit of the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainabily, held in Rome and organized by Eiis in collaboration with the United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and with the institutional support of the European Parliament.
